When arranging numerous displays of flowers for a rustic wedding it is easy to spend a lot of money but one doesn’t have to. We used three sizes of boxes. The largest was 18″ long x 6″ wide and about 6-7″ tall, the medium size (as shown in this photo) was 12″ long and the small ones were a square 6″ size box. Since we used old pieces of wood fencing the height of the boxes varied but this aded to the rustic look.
Placing plastic sheeting into the box, we centered a small variegated ‘polka dot’ leaf plant from Lowe’s that was under a dollar each. Placing wet foam on each side of the potted plant, we added pink and white roses, white scabiosa, “kiss of pink” spray roses, green hypericum berries, light pink bouvardia, white and pink lisianthus and dusty miller.
To complete the look we placed green moss over the edges of the plastic pot as well as any wet foam visible beneath the flowers. The bride returned to add a personal touch–an “I Spy” card for her guests.
